Frequently Asked Questions

Where are Kisetsu products made?

Our products are made in Singapore and China. Most of our mass manufacturing is done in China and we frequently fly up to the factory, fold up our sleeves and help with production. We believe in making friends.

How many cards do the wallets fit?

On each product page, there will be a description that gives a recommended number of cards the slim wallet should hold. Take note that these numbers are only indicative. Bear in mind that leather will stretch over time so maintaining the recommended number of cards will maximise the usability of the wallet.

What other products does Kisetsu plan on making?

We’ll be sticking to what we do best, and thats to focusing on giving you the ability to carry freedom through our everyday carry products.

How will the product come packaged?

Your wallet will arrive in a plush pouch housed in a uniquely designed box we call the Kapsule. You will also be provided with an infographic so you can really understand the product and make full use of all its functions.

Are Kisetsu wallets RFID protected?

Yes. All are wallets are RFID protected. A point to note, RFID blocking fabric doesn’t give 100% protection. It does however, drastically decrease the chances of your card information from being skimmed. Our wallets are lined with several layers of RFID blocking fabric, keeping your credit cards safe from unauthorised scanners, which may lead to identity theft.

Our RFID fabric is tested at a frequency of 13.56Mhz, in which credit cards operate.
HID proximity cards are not a good indication of or stand in for contactless credit cards which our technology is intended to protect.

Isn't there a better material than leather?

Leather ages beautifully when it’s given the right care. It is also one of the best materials to work with to hold your cards/cash/coins; it conforms very well. There are other materials like synthetics, however, planning for the future, these materials are harder to break down and will impact the environment more negatively.

I am from UK and I have to pay quite a hefty amount of customs charges! Why is this so?

Orders shipped outside of Singapore (Asia) may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient's country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient; Kisetsu has no control over these charges, nor can we predict what they may be.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimate of 3-18 working days.
